Our client, an East African safari specialist, is looking for an exceptional General Manager or Manager for their stunning boutique property in Arusha, Tanzania.
Suitable candidates would be very strong and experienced, have hands-on leadership and capable of delivering a defined guest experience.

Key Skills and Requirements:
Guests often only spend one night in or out of safari so window to delight guests is difficult Reservations through ResRequest / Stock Control through IBMS / Google Business Suite Management structure is : GM / AGM / LC / Exec Chef / Duty Managers x 3 Understands the strategic positioning of the Lodge & company within the competitive market Understands the tools of financial management, and uses them to predict & affect the Lodge’s position Food & beverage product knowledge, and an awareness of menus and pricing guidelines Confident ability to communicate & establish rapport Can improve the decision making process by clarifying and setting goals, sharing perspectives on reality, identifying options and creating consensus on a way forward. Has the ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels. Can be an advocate for positive change and improvement within the organisation by identifying and communicating the compelling need for change/improvements. Is able to develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing reflective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning. Has the ability to manage to and achieve budget goals by analysing historical data and forecasting costs Is able to use results-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence (e.g. memos, letters, reports, emails, proposals, etc.) with correct grammar and punctuation Has the ability to analyze and understand revenue generation techniques and processes.
