Recruiting a Shore Explorer!

Royal Caribbean is searching for applicants for their new 'Apprentice-ship' programme with the chosen candidate embarking on a trip around the world.

The lucky man or woman will get to test out land based experiences from Alaska to the Middle East as an apprentice to the cruise liners 'Instagrammer-in-chief', Russ Francis, who was hired after completing the 'Intern-ship' programme in 2016.

Applications for the role - worth €2,200 a week - are open on the Royal Caribbean Instagram page.

They will have a chance to visit a glacier in Alaska, white water raft in Norway, and ride the world's longest urban zip wire in Dubai.

Over three weeks, the chosen applicant will get to be one of the first to visit Perfect Day at CocoCay, a new exclusive private island in the Caribbean due to open in May 2019.

A Royal Caribbean spokesperson said: "We're looking for an adrenaline junkie who is not only hungry for adventure, but also has a unique ability to capture a moment and tell a story in a simple social media post.

"By launching this position, we're hoping that the winning candidate will take our shore excursion programme to the next level."

Royal Caribbean asks those who wish to apply to post their favourite travel experience with a video or photograph to Instagram tagging #ShoreExplorer and @RoyalCaribbeanUK.
